Please consider donating to the Parma Animal Shelter. The shelter is 100 percent volunteer-run and relies on donations and grants. Thanks to the kindness of PAS supporters, we’ve been able to remain open and serve the Parma community and hope to do so for years to come.

Regarding donations to the Parma Animal Shelter.  The IRS has classified the Shelter as a 501(c)(3) organization (non-profit).  As such, all monetary donations are tax deductible.  If you donate goods or services, you can deduct the fair market value of the item or service.  If you purchase a ticket to one of our events, the portion of the purchase over and above the fair market value of the ticket is deductible.  For example, if you buy a ticket to an event that costs $25 but you pay $100, then $75 is tax deductible.  Purchases of merchandise are not tax deductible.

Donation Information:

• Volunteers are at the shelter twice daily to take care of the animals, clean, do the laundry, walk the dogs etc.  Generally they are there for 3-4 hours early mornings and early evenings.
• If you have a donation to drop off, we have a container outside the door for donations or you may drop off your donation on the bench outside the shelter and ring the doorbell.  Volunteers will bring the donation to our sorting table at the end of the shift. If possible, please put donations in a plastic bag in case of rain.
• From 10:00-Noon and 5:00-7:00 pm there is someone working at the desk who can help you.
• If you would like an acknowledgement, please leave a note with your name and address with the donation.
