Sunday, November 24th was a banner day for Parma Animal Shelter. We had a very successful Thanksgiving Open House and Bake Sale. Two dogs and three kittens and a cat were adopted, we signed up three new volunteers and we raised $1,774 selling bakery, shirts and pet merchandise! We want to thank all our wonderful bakers and dedicated supporters for continuing to help us raise funds to take care of our animals. Later in the day, the folks who did The Haunted Yard in Parma stopped by to drop off a check for $2,800 which was our part of the proceeds. We are absolutely thrilled they chose us as recipients for this very cool event and look forward to participating next year. We are so very grateful to the Andexler and Kurpik families for all their hard work in creating The Haunted Yard of Parma. What a great group of people – cast and crew and all those who attended. Thank you!

This time of year our thoughts turn to all we are thankful for as an organization. To be a part of the Parma Animal Shelter family of volunteers who work together performing the 100+ “jobs” it takes to run an animal shelter, for those who put in many hours a week at the shelter, at home, and at events, we are thankful to have each other. For our supporters who visit often and donate and do fundraisers for us – you have no idea how grateful we are for your support. We can’t do it without you. We pledge to work our hearts out to continue to be worthy of that support.

We would also like to recognize Jeremy and Dona Kiner from Amped Creativ our webmasters, for their dedication to keeping our page up to date and helping us get the word out for our animals.
