Adoption Policy + Fees
Our goal at the Parma Animal Shelter is to make the very best match between adoptive families and their new pet. For this reason, we often schedule adoption appointments with people who have previously submitted applications.
We cannot guarantee that a specific cat or kitten will be available during your visit. We also cannot place holds on kittens.
Adoption Applications
For dog adoption applications, please allow 28-48 hours for a response.
For cat adoptions, please allow up 72 hours for a response via email.
For cats, it is strongly recommended to submit an application before visiting the shelter, otherwise you will have to wait up to 72 hours for your application to be reviewed and come back at a later date to adopt.
An Adoption Agreement must be signed at the time of adoption. Please read it over carefully.
Adoption Fees
The following are our normal fees. However, certain breeds may have a higher fee. Special adoption fees are periodically advertised on our homepage.

Adult cats (6 months through 7 years) are $50, a second cat is $25.
Senior cats (8 years and older) are $25.
Puppies (Under 7 months) are $200.
