Mission and Vision
The Parma Animal Shelter, Inc. (“PAS”) has been organized to promote the following objectives:
- Work to prevent animal cruelty, abuse and neglect.
- Educate the public on the importance of spaying/neutering to control pet overpopulation.
- Increase public awareness and appreciation of companion animals.
- Assist in providing a stress-free, healthy environment for lost, abandoned, neglected and stray animals.
- Provide emergency and wellness medical care for the PAS adoptable animals.
- To find permanent placement into new homes.
Parma Animal Shelter Operation
The Parma Animal Shelter is run by volunteers for the stray and abandoned animals of the City of Parma. Volunteers dedicate their time to tasks such as walking the dogs, cleaning the shelter, cleaning cages for the dogs and cats, feeding the animals, and giving them love. We also have volunteers that foster some of our animals in their home. We DO NOT participate in Community Service work programs. Volunteers cannot accept dropped off pets.
