JANUARY UPDATE!
🎀 A New Year Birth Announcement! 🎀
Proud Mama: Peggy
Date of Arrival: Just after Christmas
Litter Size: Five perfect, fluffy miracles
Peggy has gifted us five tiny bundles of joy just in time to welcome the New Year! Their soft squeaks and sleepy snuggles have added a little extra magic to our holiday season.
But Peggy’s babies are just part of the excitement. We currently have more than thirty kittens in various stages of readiness for adoption, and thanks to the incredible support of our community, most of our adult cats found loving homes by the end of 2025. Your kindness made that possible.
And there’s more on the way — we expect several additional adult cats to arrive soon as we put the finishing touches on fresh paint in our quarantine and step‑down rooms. A little sprucing up now means a safer, calmer welcome for the next wave of whiskered friends.
This past year brought other big wins too: after 27 years of chain‑link fencing, our dogs finally have brand‑new kennels. Seeing them settle into their upgraded spaces has been a joy for all of us.
As we step into 2026, we’re gearing up for a year filled with:
✨ FUN Fundraisers
✨ Special events
✨ Adoption promotions
✨ New volunteer opportunities
Our volunteers and membership committee are already hard at work dreaming up ways to promote adoption and strengthen our mission — and we’d love to welcome anyone who wants to join in.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your unwavering support.
Your generosity fuels every rescue, every adoption, and every happy ending.
Stay tuned — our 2026 Calendar of Events is coming soon, and we can’t wait to see you at the shelter.
With gratitude and purrs,
Parma Animal Shelter
Adopt, Share, Save a Life
Our shelter is filled with many wonderful adult cats and dogs eagerly waiting for their forever homes. You can be a hero today by sharing our adoptable pets on social media! Just click the icon on any pet’s story on our adopt-a-pet petlist. One share could be the key to a new beginning.
Celebrating Our Community Impact This year promises to be busy and fulfilling. Your ongoing support helps us keep our guests safe in a loving home-away-from-home as they await their permanent families.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Champions We are deeply grateful to our supporters, the City of Parma, and our incredible volunteers. Your generosity enables us to provide shelter and care for strays, surrendered, and abandoned animals—many of whom require medical attention and foster care before they find their forever homes. A special thank you goes out to those who open their hearts and homes to foster animals on their journey to recovery.

ANIMAL SPOTLIGHT
Teresa is a sweet and affectionate female adult cat who loves giving gentle kitty kisses to show her love. She`s full of personality and charm and will even take a treat from your hand. Her favorite pastime is sipping fresh water straight from the faucet like the little queen she is. Whether she`s snuggling up for some affection or showing off her quirky habits, Teresa`s loving nature makes every day brighter. Teresa might be okay with another cat or dog and would be better with children 13 years or older. Fill out an application online. You will receive an email once the application has been approved.
