Adopt, Share, and Care – Help Our Fur Family Find a Home!

Dear Friends,

Adopt, Share, Save a Life As we welcome spring and the excitement of kitten season, our shelter is filled with many wonderful adult cats and dogs eagerly waiting for their forever homes. You can be a hero today by sharing our adoptable pets on social media! Just click the icon on any pet’s story on our adopt-a-pet petlist. One share could be the key to a new beginning.

Celebrating Our Community Impact This year promises to be busy and fulfilling. Your ongoing support helps us keep our guests safe in a loving home-away-from-home as they await their permanent families. A huge thank you to Subaru for letting us present our pups at the Greater Cleveland Auto Show—your support helped our volunteers connect with wonderful new families.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Champions We are deeply grateful to our supporters, the City of Parma, and our incredible volunteers. Your generosity enables us to provide shelter and care for strays, surrendered, and abandoned animals—many of whom require medical attention and foster care before they find their forever homes. A special thank you goes out to those who open their hearts and homes to foster animals on their journey to recovery.

    • Check our Amazon and Chew wish lists for much-needed supplies.
    • Please consider donating Fresh Step litter points to support our foster kitties.
  • Volunteer:
    • We need dedicated individuals for roles like front desk support, dog walking, cleaning, and cat and dog care.
    • Commit just a two-hour weekly shift, and after completing training and four shifts, enjoy the flexibility to pick up additional shifts via SignUp Genius.
    • Fill out a volunteer application on our website to join our team.
  • Foster Care:
    • With kitten season fast approaching, we urgently need foster parents for special-needs kittens, especially those who are bottle-fed or too small for early spay/neuter.
    • You provide the love and care, and we cover food and medical expenses.
    • Interested in fostering? Call 440-885-8014 and let us know your area of interest. We also offer foster-to-adopt opportunities for both cats and dogs.

Adopt Today for a Brighter Tomorrow Visit us during open hours to meet our adorable pets, or expedite your adoption process by filling out an online application beforehand. With a pre-approved application, you might be able to adopt on the same day. We encourage you to bring all family members for a heartfelt meet-and-greet—because it’s all about finding the best home, not just first come, first serve.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us rescue, rehome, and educate others about animal welfare. Together, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of animals in need.

With warm regards,

ANIMAL SPOTLIGHT
Tamarind is a young female cat who is having difficulty adjusting to life at the shelter. She has potential to be a wonderful cat for the right person.  Currently, Tamarind is stressed and is becoming difficult to handle.  She will need a patient household with no children and preferably no other pets.  Tamarind was much better when she first arrived at PAS but now seems to be regressing due to stress.  She has previously allowed volunteers to hold her and pet her but is now being standoffish.  Please consider adopting this young cat who will blossom with the right adopter.  She is available as a foster to adopt.  Please fill out an application online if interested in Tamarind.  You will receive an email once the application has been approved.
