Parma Animal Shelter's List of Available Animals
Featured Dog :: Ace

Handsome Ace , a chocolate lab mix, is everything you'd want in a family pet. He's friendly, smart, great temperament and walks well on a leash. Ace is 2 years old, neutered, up-to-date on shots and weighs 54 pounds.
Please call 440-885-8014 if you are interested in Ace or send us an email.
Featured Cat :: Titan

Titan is a 4-5 year old, strikingly handsome boy. He has been living in a cage at the shelter for over a year now. Titan has become set in his ways here at the shelter, in other words he can be stubborn! He is a nice boy who minds his own business. Titan is looking for a family to be patient and allow him to come out of his shell. He might do fine in a home with other cats, who are reserved like Titan.
Titan has been neutered, front paw declawed, is current on his vaccines, and has tested negative for FIV/FELV.
Please call 440-885-8014 if you are interested in Titan or send us an email.

Dogs
Adjusting to a New Home
When you adopt a dog, please, give him time to get used to his surroundings and your family structure and routines. Time (at least 2 weeks) to get him used to your schedule and patience are essential elements to a successful adoption. We try to socialize our dogs with as many volunteers as possible but we cannot duplicate a home environment by any means.
Shelter Life
Life in a shelter is very stressful for animals and they need a period of adjustment once they come to your home. All of our "guests" deserve a chance to be part of a loving family.
We ask only that you give them a FAIR chance!
Questions and Answers

Evaluating Dogs
We update information on temperament etc. as we learn about our guests. Remember our animals don't have AKC papers - they were strays so we are guessing at their breed!
Lost and Found!
Dogs found by animal control are kept for three days so their owners can find them. We will take applications in the meantime but please consider a dog who has been in the shelter longer "just in case". We have lots of good dogs who have been waiting a long time for a home. Please give them a chance to find a place in your heart.
We dedicate this poem to all the ones who didn't make it into the shelter because there was no room! Click here!
