Patsy is a really beautiful Australian cattle dog who is a bit shy at first. She's looking for a home where her new people will be gentle and patient with her so she can blossom into the great dog she is. She's 3 years old, weighs 36 pounds, has received all her shots and will be spayed before adoption.

Ethel, a small poodle mix, is just as sweet as can be and would love to be your very special lap dog. She only weighs 12 pounds and is 5 years old. She is up-to-date on shots and spayed.

What a love of a dog Jamie is! This great dane/lab mix is well-behaved with good leash manners. And she loves to be cuddled; she would love to be a 72-pound lap dog. Jamie also has a playful side and will frequently go into a "puppy bow" to let you know it's time to play. She's 2 years old, spayed, up-to-date on shots and seems to be housebroken.

Handsome Ace , a chocolate lab mix, is everything you'd want in a family pet. He's friendly, smart, great temperament and walks well on a leash. Ace is 2 years old, neutered, up-to-date on shots and weighs 54 pounds.

Dogs
Adjusting to a New Home
When you adopt a dog, please, give him time to get used to his surroundings and your family structure and routines. Time (at least 2 weeks) to get him used to your schedule and patience are essential elements to a successful adoption. We try to socialize our dogs with as many volunteers as possible but we cannot duplicate a home environment by any means.
Shelter Life
Life in a shelter is very stressful for animals and they need a period of adjustment once they come to your home. All of our "guests" deserve a chance to be part of a loving family.
We ask only that you give them a FAIR chance!

Evaluating Dogs
We update information on temperament etc. as we learn about our guests. Remember our animals don't have AKC papers - they were strays so we are guessing at their breed!
Lost and Found!
Dogs found by animal control are kept for three days so their owners can find them. We will take applications in the meantime but please consider a dog who has been in the shelter longer "just in case". We have lots of good dogs who have been waiting a long time for a home. Please give them a chance to find a place in your heart.
